I wanted to build a cnc machine and decided to buy a Proxxon MF 70, and add my own motors and controllers.
this is the machine without the motors:http://www.proxxon.com/eng/html/27110.php
I had NEMA23 steppers laying in my drawer for a while and decided to put those on the machine.
Added end-stops on all axes.
My stepper controller is a 3 axis TB6560 with 300watts PS.
Interface is an Arduino Uno with GRBL.
Software : Universal g-code sender
For cam software i use :
HeeksCnC
The machine has a lot of backlash on the x and y axis,
you can get rid of them by putting self-lock nuts on the axis @ the end ( oposite side of motor. ) on the inside of the end plate.
P.S. one nut is normal M5 (y-axis) other one is left turning M5(x-axis) .
