Wanted to update this description, so people viewing dont think this is dead...
Havnt updated or mess with this, as my original one made almost 3 years ago is still performing FLAWLESS! Gotta say, falling off the hobbed gear is something I really dont miss happening. And with 3 years of solid performance I think i can call this a winner.
Now my design skills were horrible back then, square shapes was about all i was good at! I think I might take another stab at this. I just started planning a redesign of some of my plastic mods to my simple metal. Want to redesign my cable chaine, my fan mounts, and CLEAN up the wiring. Its becoming a mess with all the lights and crap added over the years.
Keep your eyes peeled for this!
Sometimes simple is the best! Here is one of those times, v3 is working GREAT! and its really small and fast to print.
Print at .2 100% infill with support; rotated 90 on X
unbolt the lever with the bearing in it by removing the hex socket head screw from the top right corner; remove the sleeve, and replace with this print. Tighten the bolt back down fairly snug. The printed part has a slight angle built in to pitch the lever at an ideal angle. Helps the filament stay nice and straight and helps keep it on the hobbed gear!!
Yay, had some ideas, and having some great luck with it! check out V2
