I upgraded my Anet A8 to a stronger power supply with 12V and 30A. I ordered mine from amazon but I think it is always the same model https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00P2CTSBI/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_Qb4UAbP0M715F
Nice thing was, that the new power supply also included a case fan. After trying to get my A8 as quiet as possible the power supply fan was now the loudest part.
I ordered a noiseblocker 60mm fan from Amazon https://www.amazon.de/dp/B002DFZQE0/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_Ma4UAbRJ2P3P6 and replaced the existing fan.
Because I also prefer a steady noise level instead of going up and down with the temperature controls I wired the fan directly to a 12V outlet of the power supply.
One thing I didn't pay attention to was that the new fan was about twice as thick as the old one, so of course the cover didn't fit any more without the fan touching some parts inside the power supply.
Because I liked the new fan so much as you can't barely hear it even when connected directly to 12V, I thought a new cover would be a really nice first Fusion 360 project for me.
The new cover is designed to work with M4 nuts and screws. I used M4 x 12. A bit shorter will probably also work. Although I only used 4 screws there are holes for all 6 screws.
Because the whole cover didn't fit my printer I drew 2 parts which you can connect using 2 screws and nuts.
Also I included a hole for a fused switch. https://shop.bohrers.de/kaltgeraetebuchse-3in1.html
Also included my logo but removed that for thingiverse but you can see it in the picture ;)
