I was having trouble with interference of the magnetometer in the 3dr gps because of it's proximity to the video Tx and battery and I was also unhappy with the fit of the original parts so I came up with a pop-up gps mount which gets the gps/magnetometer a little further away from the interfering components.
There are hooks underneath the cover to attach small rubber bands to make the gps spring up and stay up but in practice I have found that just the friction in the pivot points is enough to hold it in place.
I used 1/16" or 1.6mm wire for the bottom pivot pins and servo screws for the rest.
I printed in carbon fibre ABS, https://blueprinted.co/products/abs-carbon-filament?variant=20667791878 which may have helped with shielding the emf but not significantly. It is great stuff to print with though as it almost eliminates shrinkage.
My compass calibration is much better now and the quad loiters in a locked position.
