this is a evolution of my Poltur XL, it uses all new designed parts and the much more easier to come by 2020 extrusion, as such it is bolted together using standard t-slot nuts a bolt.
again I have utilised the benefits of a Ikea Lack table to form a large degree of the printers overall frame, this coupled with the use of extrusion has created a incredible rigid and solid frame, a secondary effect of using the wooden construction of the lack table is its inherent vibe dampening properties, this aids in greatly reducing the printers noise levels during operation.
though the printer can use standard i3 x-axis parts such as metal carriages equiped with bearings due it using identical rod spacing as a stock prusa i3 (meaning it can use the multiple i3 mods that can also be found on thingiverse) I am including my own "bearingless" designs for both the x-carriage and z-axis as these have proven to be very versatile, reliable and of course produce the absolute bare minimum of noise and vibes, I also include the various quick release extruder mount designs that fit to the carriage.
the x-carriage itself can also be used with more standard extruder mounts if so wished.
all parts barring the lcd enclosure are sized under 100mmx100mmx100mm so can be produced on the smaller low budget printers like Hobbykings mini fabricator v2 and similar, meaning you can create this large scale large sized part output printer with the use of the smallest type 3d printers on the market..... buy small....... build BIG!
