basically these are all the parts required to upgrade my original PolTur Printer design to the PolTur XL.
the original:-http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1792378
benefits of opting for this upgrade:
incredibly rigid frame pretty much eliminates any and all vibration (secondary effect of drastically reducing noise also, Im constantly nipping into my workroom to check that the printers still running cos I cant hear the bloody thing anymore)
Designed around the ever popular Lack Table which makes enclosing the entire printer a very simple affair.
printbed size increased from the original 200x200x170 to 300x200x200 with ED3 type extruder and 250x200x200 with Mk7/Mk8 extruder.
remarkably portable, with the frame and table integrated together the whole printer can be picked up and moved with relative ease without disturbing the printers delicate calibrations
with the rigidity of the frame Ive been able to increase the print speed without any notable effects to print quality (Ive so far increased speed 20% from stock speed)
overhead spool mounting, multi spool capable (upto 4x standard 1kg spools)
frame sections utilize 15x15mm Alu square tube which is easy to cut, drill & bolt (you can opt to use the CF tubing I originally used on the first PolTur design but the Alu tube is remarkably cheaper in comparison)
Design still utilizes the original Printrite hardware with the only exception being the addition of 400mmx8mm smooth rods on the Y-axis(to allow the new 300mm build area size) and 350mm lead screws (to allow for the increase in build height)
Im sure theres more benefits to the upgrade that Im forgetting but by far the most important (even more so than the increase of printable size).....
..... it looks the dogs gonads on my workbench.
I apologise in advance for not adding the parts individually to thingiverse but tbf, it'll only take 5 minutes for the builder to separate them all in Slic3r (or Cura etc)
hope anyone considering the original PolTur will like this new Upgrade, I know Im loving it right now.
enjoy.
