have a buddy at work who has a polaris pool vacuum with a worn gear in the backup valve assembly. designed this one to fit and a pla version has been in his 280 for a couple of months now. the part is used on the polaris 180,280,380 and 3900. saved him spending $60 for a new backup valve.
