Our daughter recently started harming herself and the therapist suggested providing an alternative such as lego blocks or pipe couplings. These cause pain but do not leave permanent marks. However, a teenager would not walk around with legos or a pipe coupling so I started looking for something more appealing which I could print.
A pointy necklace of some sort seemed to be a good solution so together we looked for images on the internet of something she would wear and I could print.
We ended up with a pointy bunny which she wears as a necklace. If needed she squeezes it hard with her hand. It seems to work for her.
You can print the bunny or use it as inspiration for creating something using your own design.
