I overtightened one of the plastic adjustment screws that holds the pedal bracket in place. Because of the soft plastic it's hard to feel if it's too tight and the threads are flexible enough to fold in the threads instead of preventing motion.
The screws have an odd pitch so a regular bolt would not fit. I modeled the screw in Fusion 360. The thread is slightly thinner than the original screw, but still fits tight.

Eventually my bolt also broke down. The threads are a bit undersized and PLA isn't the most durable material around. I haven't tried ABS or PETG, that might give better results. However, I solved the problem once and for all by using two bicycle seat post clamps with adjustable lever. If you don't care about the adjustability, get the regular clamps with just a bolt. Since the Playseat uses the same standard tubing size as most bicycles, those clamps will fit. Just make sure to get a 27mm sized one (from the top of my head, something around 1" make sure to measure yourself), not the 31.8mm.
