Shown here in both the forward and reclined position, the Pipe Runner offered surprising versatility considering stripped-down nature. Its design was unashamedly dangerous, boasting no real safety precautions for pilots. Despite the obvious risks, the Runner boasted record sales because of the price and simplicity that allowed them to be bought and repaired for practically nothing. The battery and Repulser were both contained beneath the seat, and the forward driver accelerated through unique vents at the front which passed through the curvature of the pipe and propelled the bike when exhausted from the open ends beneath the pedals. Controls on on the handles provided regulation on how wide and how many vents were open.
