Read print notes please! Now with correct M12x1mm thread instead of M12x1.75mm.
I saw that Prusa has an additional thing on their website called a P.I.N.D.A. protector. A snag protector for an inductive proximity sensor for when a part of your print warps or peaks up and hits the probe.
Since the Prusa MK2 uses a smaller diameter probe, this does not fit on the widely used 12mm version LJ12A3-4-Z/BX or BY.
So I designed one using Autodesk's Fusion 360, as with many of my other things.
I hope you will enjoy it as well!
This sensor only detects metal print surfaces. When using a build mat like Buildtak or Lokbuild, you might want to upgrade to the LJ18A3-8-Z/BX dat detects up-to 8mm away (way less using alu beds). This way you 12mm version will not hit your prints and upset the positioning of the head/nozzle when a piece of the print sticks out a tiny bit. Because the bottom of the sensor will be basically at the same height at the tip of the nozzle.
You'll thank me later. :)
Subscribe to my channel: see this thing getting printed here, with some behind the scenes Fusion 360 footage. ;).
