Here's my own case for PIDFlight's lap timer.
It's made to fit a protoboard cut down to a little less than 55x85mm - refer to the pictures above to see how I arranged components on mine. I've used an Arduino Pro Mini instead of a Nano because that's what I had available at the moment, but the same disposition will fit a Nano in the same spot without any problem.
The case has holes for a female SMA connector as well: you may or may not want to attach an antenna, I'm currently doing fine without one and I don't think that increased sensibility would help in this specific use case; lower accuracy would effectively mean more precise lap times.
The voltage regulator that I used came with another piece of kit that I had lying around, but it seems to be this one.
