Here is a Raspberry Pi controller I have designed. Feel free to modify it and make it your own. Post it back to my thingiverse page. I've love to see it. I don't have time for a full write up. This is everything you will need.
Parts required:
Raspberry Pi 3 or 4
(Some of these links are my amazon affiliate links. If you purchase something I'll get a small cut to help fund this addicting hobby.)
7" touch screenhttps://amzn.to/2YvV6QB
Pi 4 8GBhttps://amzn.to/32lyd3p
Pi 4 4GBhttps://amzn.to/2EzXG0t
Joysticks x2 (any JH-D300 models should work. Shop around for best price and fastest shipping)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CVCSB5G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Here is the battery I disassembled for my controller. It would be cheaper if you want to source the 3x 18650 batteries, BMS board and switch and barrel connector for the charger.https://amzn.to/2Ytwrfa
40x40x10 5v fanhttps://amzn.to/31qHyYd
Analog to digital converter since the pi doesn't have any analog portshttps://amzn.to/2QjfQGA
sockethttps://amzn.to/3hxm95y
INA219 for voltage and current readinghttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ICN5OAM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Lots of M3 screws. I used around 14 - 16mm screws for the front and rear panels. Each side requires 18 screws. You also need 4x screws and nuts to hold the screen along with the printable spacers attached here. I recommend this pack. You will have all you need.https://amzn.to/32lyXFJ
Lots of connecting wire.
