This model requires Sketchyphysics 2b to work properly. This is a perpetual motion machine I simulated to demonstrate to a friend that his concept probably wouldn't work. All components hand-made. No motors, only unaccelerated hinges. Give it a spin and see how it was supposed to work. *EDIT* Update: I seem to be the first sketchyphysics user (according to the developer) to notice that when grouping objects, the center of mass is interpreted by the simulation as being at the center of the blue box surrounding a set of grouped components, rather than the group's expected center of mass. This explains why the single gear on the left side doesn't throw the machine off balance. I've redesigned the machine to account for the center of gravity issue, on the weighted ends, using slider joints set to .000001 maximum sliding capacity. The machine still doesn't work, and I will not be uploading the alternate version. Thank you for looking, I hope you find it as interesting as I do.
