This is for the VERSION B of the amplifier. The other version has a power entry on the front. B is screw terminals inside the case.
I found a TDA7297 Version B 2*15W Audio Amplifier on ebay for $2.42!!! wow I thought what the hell for under $3 let's try it. Boy am I glad I did! this thing sounds wonderful! and I wanted to power it with a 5v USB power adapter so I bought a 10x pack of the XL6009 DC to DC converters.
This Amp has a great sound and wonderful clarity.
Plug the Phoneplug-to-phoneplug into the amp,
Screw in the cables for the left and right speakers,
screw a + and - wire to the DC-DC converter (OUT goes to the amp)
(IN goes to the 5V USB power source.
Turn the DC-DC converter screw to measure exactly 12volts.
Put all these items in the case with the heat sink up.
tighten the volume nut, push on the volume knob and screw the case together.
Turn the screws in and out 1/4 turns back and forth until the threads are cut PLA generates heat and then jams if you go to fast. I left the screw holes small so you could drill for your choice in screws from M2 - M3.5
I printed the front with the face UP and used a LOT of support so that I had a pretty face. this mode worked as expected. Additionally I changed color in the last 6-8 layers and gave it an Aluminum face. neat
