I wanted to create a stronger front brace / strut than using stand-offs and also liked the idea of having more protected rear using small sides (to protect the receiver, FPV tx) but without wanting the full weight of a complete side-skirt as others have done.
Both mount to the standard PEON230 frame. The designs don't include a thread as they are reasonably thin pieces and I didn't want to weaken, however I gently tapped (gave it a thread) using self-tapping screws which worked great.
Adds minimal extra weight to the drone, still allows the wires from the ESC's to be thread from the motors and is providing extra protection to the receiver and PDB.
I've used M3 self-tapping screws (not bolts) to attach the parts.
