This OpenSCAD code generates a Rhodonea curve as described on this Wikipedia pagehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rose_(mathematics)
and extrudes it into 3 dimensions to form a vase or bowl.
Click "Open in Customizer" to customize your own vase and generate an STL file. Or, if you have OpenSCAD, download the .scad file to your computer and customize a vase there.
See the chart on the Wikipedia page for example Rhodonea curves.
petals = n in the chart
amplitude = d in the chart
Besides the default petals=3, amplitude=5, some of the designs I like are
petals=1, amplitude=2
petals=1, amplitude=3
petals=1, amplitude=5
petals=3, amplitude=7
petals=5, amplitude=3
and extrudes it into 3 dimensions to form a vase or bowl.
