This is a parametric OpenSCAD script that can generate a custom Glidecam gimbal. You can customize the settings to the various dimensions of the bearings and hardware available to you.
Materials needed for base values assembly:
Plastics
M5 Bolts and nuts
Washers
1x Main Bearing, 6007 type
8x Secondary bearing, 605 type
3/4 inch ID PVC
(optional) Monopod for main shaft: Dolica-WT-1003-67-Inch-Lightweight-Monopod or similar recommended
To complete the assembly of the gimbal, you will need your bearings, hardware, and the materiel to make the handle and main shaft. The default values use 3/4 inch PVC for the handle and a monopod for the main camera mount. The monopod can be swapped out for PVC if you want to cut cost as much as possible.
Total cost for the base design with monopod is about 30$, with just PVC shafts it is about 15$.
Note: All dimensions are in millimeters
Note 2: The downloadable STL files on this page use the base values
