After a lot of searching I did not find any printable part for my DIY delta 3d printer with these characteristics:
1.- Easy to print (no supports, rafts, ...).
2.- Easy to mount/unmount.
3.- Use 3 40mm fans for cooling (more silent and better airflow).
4.- Clear view of the printing surface (be able to view the printer nozzle and layers layout).
5.- The last point means light, so ultrabright 5mm led support (x2) close to the printing surface and unobstructed lightning.
6.- A way to easily add modules (probes) via a hookup mechanism.
7.- Parametric desing (OpenSCAD) for easy adaptation and tuning.
After a few iterations I checked all characteristics, if you don't think so please comment :), I'll try to improve the design.
The only downside is that probably you'll get better temperature control if you use a silicone sock over the heater block.
Accessories needed:
M3 bolts, 4 x 16mm for effector (I only use 4), 4 x 25mm for fans and 8 nuts.
2 x 5mm ultrabright white leds (and resistors, wires, .. to connect to your rig).
1 x resistor (1K 1/4W for 2 x 3v 0.02A -20mA- in series, 24V power supply).
V1.1: Different holes for led anode and cathode. A bit larger led hole for easier embedding.
Please share any improvements or thoughts.
