Hey guys !
This is the full C-3PO costume (without head and greeblies) from a Don Post statue.
My files are big, sorry for that but to work I needed maximum polygons.
Thank you Xeno to scanned that ! I worked hard to modified all that models, so please, don't make money with this stuff.
Xeno is okay to share all my work, because I'm not the scans owner, and I respect the Xeno's work.
I modified all the scans into a full wearable costume.
Be careful, you'll need some post prod !! Especially on the knees rings, the thighs, the back torso.
I'm not a 3D Modeller, I tried to do my best to modify this scans. If someone wants to modified my work and create a better version, don't hesitate !
If you have any questions, don't hesitate too.
Parts list :
ARMS.
TORSO.
LEFT LEG.
RIGHT LEG.
PANTS.
LEFT FOOT (I don't have the right foot ... Sorry !)
For some parts (shoulders ring and forearm), you can use the same for the both sides.
About the right thigh, you'll need some post prod with the plate. On the scans, the plate is not attached to the thigh. You have 2 versions, one with the plate (which requires some post prod but less) and one without the plate.
You will maybe have some scars on the back torso ... Sorry for that I don't have the skills to remove that.
I recommend to use big printer to print that parts.
I used Creality CR-10 to print all the costume. It took me 2-3 months to print all this costume.
To "glue" the differents parts (for example the differents torso pieces), I used PLA with my iron soldering and meld the two parts inside the costume. Outside, I used my iron soldering to meld the two parts without PLA, I just hide the line with the iron soldering. Be careful, and don't push too hard !).
To have the best adjustment with the thigh and the knee, I recommend to use heatgun (SLOWLY !!) and adapt the thigh on the knee.
To have a real beautiful chrome some options are available. I will use these steps to do mine :
Primer filler + sand (lot of sanding, sanding is life).
Black or White paint (glossy or not) 2K (paint with polyurethane resin).
Hydrochrome (you can find some videos on Youtube).
Varnish + gold tint SEM California gold 03126.
I recommend to add inside some fiberglass.
