The concept behind the system is to simplify the building process while adding more flexibility to the V-Slot modular building system.
These corner connectors will allow for lightning fast assembly of machine and project designs. They can be stacked to connect all sizes of V-Slot. This system is also being used as a wheel block, turning the V Slot itself into not only the linear rail, but the gantry carts as well.
You do not need a proprietary connector for each different size of V-Slot.
With a system like this, design fabrication is limitless.
Examples being shown are prototypes and the final Part will have adjustable wheel tensions.
OpenBuilds™ Parts are now available in many easy to use and share formats!
Including STEP / IGES / SolidWorks / SketchUp Please see the OpenBuilds Parts Resource section here to grab'em. http://www.openbuilds.com/resources/categories/openbuilds-parts.5/
Thank you and all the best with your builds!

Development Story-
During development, we discovered that not only can you use these corner connectors as building blocks but they also double as a wheel blocks for gantry carts of various shapes and configurations.
You can connect them to V-Slot to create, for example, drawer slides, little gantry carriages, larger gantry carriages, etc.
This is great because it eliminates the need for specialized plates in some applications and gives you multiple mounting configurations since the carriage itself is created from V-Slot as well.
This is very exciting because this adds even more flexibility to the V-Slot Modular System.
This will allow for so many new, unique machine and project designs & ideas.
These parts were specifically designed to be fabricated utilizing 3D printing technology as well as standard manufacturing processes. So, you can 3D print them or find them on the OpenBuilds Part Store out of aluminum.
The corner connectors are shared freely under the Fair Share Give Back Program.
We look forward to seeing all of the creations coming from this system.
Our hope is that you will be willing to share your designs and concepts with the Open Source Community.
