I have been continuing to try to find ways to make the Open Z v16c a better contender for racing. Original OpenZ v16c by Guaro3d, and for some reason I can never link his work in the remix portion of this site. heres the fb group https://www.facebook.com/groups/209094766350376
The original pinion for steering has a slot that is completely vertical and it tended to bind, as well as was a bit shorter than I wanted.
I extended it taller, made the slot a trapezoid, reinforced the top.
I also made some changes to the baseplate so it would ride in without sanding or modification.
The Left hub and Right hub have been subtly reinforced at the top screw hole, in an attempt to stop them from breaking when you hit a wall.
Also, of note, this design uses the stock servo arm, with a screw in the third hole, and the servo arm cut down. Picture included.
