I am a more of an RC car enthusiast than anything else, and I stumbled upon this project. As I have built them and in truth, broken them racing I have been modifying the design in subtle ways each time I break something while racing.
As I think I am one of the few lunatics actually trying to race these things, I have begun to think of it as part of the Open Z Project, but under R1 for racing.
This is a modification upon the original chassis and lid design, incorporating mounting brackets for the servo, with added screw holes to be able to actually screw it in, a shelf for the esc, (Orlandoo OH35P01 KIT RC Car Parts Mini 2S ESC) and a lid that actually clicks into place on the sides, as every time I hit the wall the designed lid would fly off leaving my car dragging batteries and cables until ultimate death.
