One Hanson Place is a 512ft (156m) tall skyscraper in Brooklyn, New York. The building was designed by Halsey, McCormack and Helmer in a Byzantine revival style and completed in 1929. The tower, originally named the Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower, was constructed to be the headquarters of its namesake bank. It was the tallest building in Brooklyn, a title it held for over 80 years until 2010. Today, it stands as one of the most iconic buildings in Brooklyn, standing at a prominent location near the intersection of Flatbush and Atlantic avenues in the borough's downtown. In recent years, the building has been converted to be residential.
