located in Dumaguete city Philippines, the Church of St. Augustine of Hippo & Pipe Organ was completed in 1865 it is situated by the sea and the main altar of the church recorded as the oldest in the province it is one of the main attraction for the devotees and tourists in the municipality. Its pipe organ from Zaragosa, Spain was installed in 1894 through the efforts of its first parish priest, Rev. Joaquin Soriano. The belfry, reputed to be the province’s tallest, with winding steps to the top, was used as a look-out point for seafaring pirates... The church is currently considered as one of the 26 churches that are national treasures to the Philippines and its conservation is partly funded by the NCCA
