These are an experiment in creating miniature figure bases that are modelled with open backs, as opposed to being modelled solid, to produce a result that is structurally more similar to commercial injection moulded miniature bases.
They are in a range of sizes (distance between opposite flat faces at the bottom of the edges) between 20mm and 50mm, are in two forms; straight sided and curved sided, and two upper surface finishes; flat and random textured. In addition the smaller sizes have been doubled up with a version that features a slot.
Printing
These were designed for FDM printing in PLA. They are designed to print with their underside sitting on the print bed with no support at all (the upper surface is entirely supported by bridging). The textured surface bases and the curved sided bases would benefit from printing with a small layer height ( <= 0.1mm).
Update
I added versions of the random texture-topped base that omit the outer upper rim.
