This skid moves the motor to the lowest point possible. Currently it's only for the Northwest Scaler Designs Scattergun chassis (or other TRX4-based chassis). The 3rd (upper) link may foul longer 550-sized motors. I've just used a bent link or offset it from the axle attachment to ensure it doesn't hit the motor end-bell.
Overall you'll gain about 12-15mm of ground clearance as this is a flat skid rather than the TRX4 "hump" style skids. Your driveshafts will be higher up allowing you to run your truck lower without catching on the gearbox and the weight of the motor will be underneath the gearbox.
It's intended for brushed & brushless 540/550 motors as these usually weigh upwards of 140g which is more than the transmission does so the weight is dropped in CoG by a large amount. Especially the forward weight of the motor.
There are a few snags in that the front diff locker may have the cable strained a bit and there's no mount for the diff lock servos. I just drilled two holes in the skid and put countersunk bolts to hold in the servo mount that way.
You may be able to get this to fit a standard TRX-4 chassis if you use some 5mm spacers between the skid and the chassis, although this has not been tested so can't be 100% sure of compatibility.
Print this as a solid piece, no infill just use 999999 bottom layers.
