NIXON - The Lodown

I present to you my sixth project: The Lodown.
This watch designed by Nixon does not only tell you the time but also the tide. I have had this watch for several years and as a bodyboarder I have always loved it. It is fashionable and functional. Both produced by custom injection molding the candy colored case and tapered band are respectively made of fiber reinforced polycarbonate, and polyurethane.
I had to try and recreate this model. To this day it is the most complex design I achieved in terms of design (lot of components and surfaces) and rendering (material selection and light arrangement). It took me a good two weeks to achieve. (Note: the LCD display is here shown on 'idle' state).
