[Update: 12/12 revised model to reinforce, I later noticed it had cracked on the center section. Should be much stronger now]
[Warning: if cracks or chips in the plastic occur, you could end up with a fragment in your transmission. Use good judgement, and definitely don't use PLA, choose something with better impact resistance]
Designed this to replace the passenger side CV axle seal on a 2004 Infiniti I35, should work on Nissan Maxima, Altima and other FWD VQ35DE-based platforms.
Usage:
Usually I just use a socket for this sort of thing, but the passenger side axle seal is an arm's length up into the chassis, and it's very hard to keep the seal aligned to get it started. This driver fits into the center of the seal to keep it aligned.
You can use a 3/8" extension (I connected all of mine into one 2' long extension) on the other side to drive it in with a mallet. Keep in mind this does not prevent you from pushing the seal in too hard, so don't just whack it in there, do a bit at a time and see how flush it's sitting. This also won't keep it centered, so check that you're driving it in flat as well.
