DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE

The device is composed of two parts, the reader and the charger.
The shape of the reader has a strong reminder of the brand's logo BlackBoard, so that users can identify at a glance the presence of the device on a table or wall mounted.

The dimensions are very small, is built around the PCB with an appendix containing the cylindrical battery. The threaded plugs of the battery ensure the positive and negative contact. In the model the anode is complete while the cathode is still missing the contact strip. Plugs are sealed by an large size O-ring so that it can protrude and serve by foot with soft grip against the surfaces on which rests.

Given the small size add a swinging part for the reader of magnetic cards has little meaning, the reading slit is housed to the right side in position which allows more natural swiping ie from the top downwards or towards you.

The reading head is fixed so that it can flex allowing the contact with the magnetic stripe.

The lid of the reader is built in clear plastic to resemble a small screen containing the indispensable information explained by clear written. The LEDs light is brought close to the thickness of the cover through a light pipe conductor.

On one side there are the on-off switch and micro USB socket.

The battery charger repeats the shape of the reader. The coupling between the two devices is by a elastic spring and is conditioned by two pins which oblige the direction of introduction.

ERGONOMIC USE.
The reader is designed to be a mobile device, can then be used grasping it with the left hand and swiping the card payment with right hand or waving another mobile device.

However, when more people want to execute serially and quickly the same type of operation with a single hand, especially in the case of the sliding of payment card, is better that the reader is resting and fixed on a plane.

A small plastic holder is not useful because it weighs less than the same device and under the action of fast creep would tilt.

The solutions can be to fix the reader on the wall using a copy the of the charger cover as an ancillary part. The coupling of the reader to the support employ a snap spring included in the reader, same spring used to coupling to the charger. When needs can be easily detached from the wall, forcing the spring resistance.

In case you do not want to pierce the walls with the fixing screws, could use an accessory with a suction cup and the usual snap spring.

This accessory can be installed vertically or horizontally on every smooth surface, even on glass doors to access a room. See detailed drawing and renderings.
