One of the negatives of the Modulus Regulator is the lack of rails. These are simple side rails that mount easily through the existing holes in the front portion of the Regulator on either side. These rails are a bit lower than the barrel but I did not want to put extra holes in my blaster shell and wanted to work with the holes that were already there. Both Nerf-style and Picatinny Rail versions are included.
1) Start by simply placing the mounting plate inside the shell through the magazine receiver. There are six rectangular nubs that will stick outwards through the shell (the bottom two have more centered holes).
2) Line up the rail printed part on the outside with the rail towards the top (and additional plate downwards). I find that I push outward on the inside mountain plate to get the nubs to line up with the cutouts in the rail piece.
3) The two pieces screw together with M1.7 x 6mm screws but other sizes will likely work fine. As you tighten the screws they will pull the mounting plate tight to the shell (it will bend somewhat to confirm to the shape of the shell).
