Final Version of the Nellis-Class Destroyer The Nellis-Class Mk.2 was introduced by Norkon-Ships in 3421 and was classified as a heavy destoyer. For a destroyer it posesses a very high firepower which is combined with heavy shielding and a thick layer of armor as well as a decentralized interior. As it is common with ships from Norkon-Ships, the ship does not have traditional decks, but several interconnected pressure-hulls that are bolted onto the internal structure. To be suited for long-range combat, the Nellis-Class features a 96-cell VLS and several turrets for Anti-Fighter / Anti-Missile duties. These small rapid firing guns can also be used in ship-to-ship combat if the enemy comes close enough. Equipped with powerful RZV-Drives, the ship is able to reach a top-speed of 5580 time the speed of light. Because of these features and the relatively low fuel-consumption, these ships were very popular in interstellar navys and were built 1421 times from 3425 to 3435, when they were replaced by the improved Magmar-Class. Today almost all navies have decommisioned their Nellis-Class Destroyers, but they experience a second spring as Mercenary-Ships all across the Orion-Spur. Ship-Hull was made by me.
