I have a fair sized Apiary and needed a mouse guard to protect my bees from Mice/Shrews etc. so I sketched up this.
The width is just 2.5mm so doesn't take too long to print
It can be printed in multiple different colours to help your bees with geo-mapping and finding the entrance.
Rather than a single entrance, multiple entrances helps to reduce congestion at the hive entrance
Each entrance is 7mm width so too small for rodents or shrews
It also incorporates ventilation holes which are small enough to avoid rodents or draughts but large enough to allow some airflow into the hive for ventilation.
Printing:
Print using 20% Infill, using whichever type of infill setting but I'd recommend using rafts to make sure it prints completely flat.
Once printed, clean off any rough edges and screw to your hive entrance using 8mm screws. Enjoy! :)
