These are a cosplay replica of the thumb blades worn by the character Narcisse in the film "Nightbreed."
Because Narcisse is hilarious and "Nightbreed" is still awesome, that's why.
The largest set of rings are 22mm ID; those with larger thumbs may need to CAD up a larger-diameter set.
Actual pic coming once the gift-recipient sends me one.
