No-one seems to make South African n-scale trains and I really wanted one. So I designed and printed a whole set of 19 coaches of the world famous Blue Train. I've uploaded everything you need to build a complete set:
Class 18E locomotive (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2844936)
Conference Car (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2833029)
Kitchen Car (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2834397)
Dining Car (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2835802)
Lounge Car (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2836933)
Club Car (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2838216)
Personnel Car (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2839262)
Baggage Car (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2840276)
Power Car (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2841486)
Luxury Suite (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2842658)
Deluxe Suite (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2843960)
Bogieset with static-display wheels (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2844942)
Blue Train Set 1 accommodates 54 guests and has 6 Deluxe Suites and 1 Luxury Suite, while Set 2 accommodates 82 guests and contains 8 Deluxe Suites and 3 Luxury Suites. To see how each set is configured, have a look at http://www.bluetrain.co.za/train-layout.
The only things that you'll require additionally for each coach are glue to assemble, a set of 12x3mm bolts with locknuts to attach the bogies and a set of n-scale metal wheels if you want them to run. Alternatively, if you only want them as a displaymodel, just print the bogies with the static-display wheels, rather than fitting proper wheels.
The loco body fits onto a Fleischmann 7232. You'll need a bit of glue and do some sanding / filing to make them look nice. The cowcatcher needs to be glued onto the loco's bogie/coupler so that it can move freely without rubbing against the body.
I use the following settings:
No rafts or supports anywhere
For the coaches, the following settings:
Bogies and undercarriage - 90% , 0.2
Coach - 90%, 0.2, fast enough speed to make sure filament doesn't droop over the windows
Furniture - 30%, 0.1
Roof - 10%, 0.1 (Infill needs to be high enough to keep the roof flat, but not so high that it becomes too heavy relative to the rest of the assembly.)
For the locos, the following settings:
Body, cowcatcher & pantograph - 90%, 0.2
Roof - 30%, 0.1
