This ABL sensor holder was designed to work with the Wham Bam Systems MUTANT removable head system. It would allow the ABL sensor to be quickly removed with a cam lever so that the same ABL sensor could be used with different mobile plates.
This version of the sensor also includes a part that wraps around the MUTANT mobile plate to trigger the X gantry limit switch so that that ABL sensor will work without modifying the firmware. If this isn't done, with the stock firmware the sensor would be positioned off of the bed in the 0,0 position and the auto bed leveling function would fail. This setup allows larger setups on the MUTANT at the cost of a few mm of X movement without having to make any modifications to the firmware setup.
