For years, every time I show up to a gig or a rehearsal and am stuck with a wobbly/loose stand, I think I should make a little wrench I can carry with me. Recently, I decided to stop thinking about it and actually design that wrench.
This little wrench is sized to fit the bolts on Manhasset music stands. The large hex opening on the flat side is sized to tighten a loose desk at the neck assembly. The hex opening on the opposite side is sized to tighten a wobbly shaft from underneath the tripod base. The small hex opening on the flat side is sized to fix nuts/bolts measuring 3/8" across the flats, which is a relatively common size (although it is not found on Mnahasset music stands).
It prints easily and is ready to go with no futzing. I rounded all the edges so it should be nice and comfy in your hand.
I haven't actually used this tool in the wild yet, but I think it will be a useful addition to my gig bag.
