Multimedia Center / Computer Desk

I built a computer desk around my 42' Insignia LCD TV. 6'2' overall height and 5'2' overall width, somewhat designed after the Ikea Jerker. My intent was a multimedia center with everything running through my 42'. Game systems, computer, cable, etc. As I used my large screen more and more as a computer monitor, I decided to add a smaller LCD so I can still watch shows and movies while 'working.' The entire frame is of 1' square tubing, 11 guage, and is painted black. I personaly welded the project, and I designed the unit to come apart in to 7 pieces (that's 14 bolts) to get it up stairs and through narrow doorways. The desktop material is 1/2' MDF, unpainted. The smaller TV is a 19' Philips LCD; I've run the PS3 and cable box through it with the coax and rca ports, while the Insignia is connected via HDMI. All measurements are correct, including the TV's, and I've made them their own components - so if you would like to rob me for the TV measurements, I'm okay with that. I welded the racing wheel mount together. It works great. Enjoy. #51 #51_surround #chair #computer #computer_desk #desk #extend_mount #flat_panel #flat_panel_tv #flat_screen #flat_screen_tv #fredrick #fredrik #g27 #hdmi #home_built #home_made #home_project #homemade #ikea #ikea_fredrick #ikea_fredrik #ikea_jerker #insignia #jerker #keyboard_tray #lcd #lcd_tv #logitech #logitech_g27 #logitech_racing_wheel #logitech_z5500 #modular_computer_desk #modular_desk #mulitmedia_desk #multimedia #multimedia_center #office_chair #philips #plasma #playstation_3 #power_strip #ps3 #racing_seat #racing_seat_chair #racing_seat_office_chair #racing_wheel #rca #surround_sound #swivel_mount #welding_project #workstation
