The XT8 convertible is the final body variant of the MSX X820 series, following the single cab, dual cab, HTTC and wagon. It offers buyers a large range of options, you can order an XT8 convertible in CX, Bushranger and Bushranger Sport models with a hard or soft top and IFS or live front axle, with a 2.3L turbo diesel I4, 2.5L twin turbo I6, 3.0 single or triple turbo diesel I6 or a 4.0L twin turbo V8. All engines have a standard 6 speed manual or an optional 8 speed auto. The MSX/R ATS version will have a 5.9L supercharged V8. This one has the 2.5L engine and 6 speed manual, with 236kW(316hp)@6200rpm and 440Nm(324ft-lb)@2900-5100rpm. Part time 4WD with low range and diff locks is standard. The Bushranger Sport gets four leather seats off road traction control, hill descent control, 5 airbags, 6 disc CD player, climate control, chrome detailing, fog lights, sports dashboard, alloy wheels, all terrain tyres and independent front suspension as a no cost option. Other important design features include a water proof interior that can be hosed out, a roll cage mounted directly to the chassis. a top mounted intercooler, air intake at the back of the engine bay and head protecting side airbags.
