MSX XT8 4.0 TDi-6 LX

The XT8 has turned 30 and to celebrate it's getting the new 4.0L turbo diesel inline 6 to replace the hawk souced 3.2L turbo and 4.0L twin turbo diesel 5 cylinder engines. There are also some minor suspension updates to improve ride, handling and off road ability, a new front bumper design which offers more protection and some slight styling tweaks. The new diesel engine produces 172kW@4100rpm and 690Nm@2150rpm and drives a 6 speed manual only in the basic LX spec. The LX gets , part time 4WD with a low range transfer case and diff locks front and rear, switchable ABS, a hose down interior, dual airbags, CD player, cloth trim and air conditioning. An optional safety pack adds switchable traction and stability control and side and curtain airbags.
