The new X821 series MSX XC8 Hardtop replaces the outgoing X820 HTTC. The low roof version has been discontinued, and a 5-door with suicide doors introduced. The 5-door is available with 6, or 12 seats. This example has the carryover 4.2L turbo diesel inline 6. Power has increased to 212kW/284hp and peak torque is up to 640Nm. The 4.2 is only available with a 6-speed manual. 2.8L I4 and 5.0L V8 turbo-diesel hybrid autos and a 2.8L I4 turbo-diesel manual are also offered.
