The international version of the ST2 Tourer has gone into production in Germany, replacing the C42 ST2 wagon. It's a 7 seater compact wagon with far more driver appeal than a conventional people mover or SUV, as well as improved practicallity over other compact wagons. It has the unique offering of rear wheel drive, which gives it a sports car like feel unique to it's class, or optional AWD for improved grip in slippery conditions. The engine choices are a 1.6l or 2.0l turbo four cylinder or the 2.3 turbo diesel four used here. It's an all new engine which produces 193PS(190hp,142kW)@4200rpm and 360Nm(266ft lb)@1900-3800rpm. The diesel is also the most fuel efficient engine in the range, using 5.9L/100km with the standard 6 speed manual. This Ignite is the top of the range model, and comes with features such as heated leather seats, sat nav, 250GB HDD, touch screen, climate contol, 9 airbags, adaptive cruise control and a DVD player.
