The AP325 is a lightweight, 6 cylinder version of the GT5. It use the 4.1L inline 6 from the ST7 GT6, which as the name suggests, produces 325kW@7200rpm and 420Nm@3900rpm, more power than an SP8, but less torque. This engine was chosen because it's lighter and freer revving than a V8, and produces it's power at higher revs, which makes it better for track use and in early GT5s, the lightweight versions always had sixes. It saves weight through the use of lighter seats, using alcantara instead of leather, no rear seat or carpet, a lack of sat nav or HDD, and a single disc CD player instead of the standard 7 disc, and an aluminium bonnet, bootlid and roof. It also gets a sport mode on the DSC system, launch control, performance brakes and a track setting on the MRC, as well as the standard coimfort and sport settings. This car was developed on rough, challenging back roads as well as race tracks, so it can be enjoyed anywhere.
