This is a needle cutter for an MPCNC Machine. This has 3mm holes in the face for 4 guide bearings. The brushless motor mounting pattern fits standard 16/19 self centering bolt patterns. The flywheel uses M3 screws and nuts to secure to a 3.17mm motor shaft. The holes in the face of the flywheel are 3mm that the threads of M3 screws will bite into. Both the flywheel face and the frame face have a 1mm extrusion to space the roller bearings. The Motor mount to face spacing accommodates 2212 brushless motors. The models are available in the Sketchup 3D warehouse for easy import and modification.

I just added two variations. Both are designed around the same motor and mount. One has extra guides at the top and one is shorter. Both are intneded to reduce the side slop of the needle flex as it makes it's rounds. Both work fine. There is a balance between wire length, speed of the rotation and stiffness of the wire that you have to play with to get the best results. On the shorter one, I am using .020" wire with great results. In the taller one with extra guides, .025" wire has worked well.
Another update/modification was to make the bearing hole slithly narrower and taller to work with the needle holder from moebeast's needle cutter. Again, there is a fine balance to find if you use that holder.

Added a pen holder: Attaches to the standard MPCNC Tool Mount. This pen holder will accommodate an ink pen or a sharpie marker. This pen holder places the pen markings in the same spot as the needle from the cutter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khfDCBjHmtU
Moved the shorter needle cutter to the cover photo position because it is my preferred version.
There are holes in the base to accommodate a wooden insulation board for the welding tip, or the tip can screw directly into the printed needle cutter. .020 and .025 wire through a .035 welding tip produces little heat from friction. The tip will get warm to the touch but not to hot to handle or melt the printed cutter.

Added the pen holder V2. Holes in the side allow for tap or zip ties to secure the pen or marker.
