Moon lamp base and stand for LED light by paulkoan

toolmoon's remix was created to fix to a standard lamp fitting. This design creates a sphere on a stand that you can attach a strip of LEDs and so make your own.
There is a central conduit for the wiring and the LED strip is stuck to the sphere. This design expects a hole in the moon base of 29mm and is friction fit but tapered slightly so it goes in snug. The back of LED strips are usually sticky, but I used hot glue just to be sure.
I used a standard strip where you have +12v, then RGB pads to ground. I soldered ground across all three pads, and wired this to a switch and a 12v power supply.
