2011 sees the team change there official name to Monster Energy Newportman America Racing, due to new sponsors. Tomas Larson once again leads a 3 car assault, although James Harvey and Glyn Williams move on to Newportman GPWS and Team Penske respectively. Replacing them in the team would be Portuguese veteran, Tiago Calabrese and American IndyLights champion, Martin Porterly. John Maxerly, Steve Donaldson and Gordon Oliviera drove for the team on a part time basis, with Maxerly replacing Calabrese when he suffers from injury. The team are relatively successful in the last year of the old Dallara chassis, with Larson finishing 3rd with 4 wins and Calabrese and Porterly also getting wins. Larson gets his best result at Indy, by finishing 2nd. Just before the season, Newportman Racing Cars, the independant manufacturing arm of Newportman, announce that they will build there own aero kit for 2012, with help from the American unit of the team. They also announce that they will use NM badged Mercedes engines for the season.
