A very simple arduino based step-sequencer for modular synthesizers. This is a work in progress. It does work in it's current state, but there are some more features i want to include (e.g. the brain-switch doesn't do anything yet :) )
What it does:
On each pulse to the CLK-input, the sequencer will advance one step and output a voltage based on the position of the potentiometer of the current step to the output of each row. There are two independent sequencers that can be clocked independently. Each sequencer has two rows of potentiometers and three outputs. Each row has its own individual output and can thus be used as an individual 8 step sequencer, but there is a third output for each sequencer that will alternate between the voltage from the first and the second row every 8 steps, thus concatenating both rows together to form a 16 step sequencer.
What it will do at some point:
Right now, the arduino is a bit superfluous. While it is needed for the routing, it could be easily replaced by a clocking circuit. The plan is to connect the brain switch to the arduino and thus give the sequencer two modes: One in which it functions just as described above (brain off) and one in which it can be controlled via usb to enable different sequencing patterns, address single steps and synchronize it to a DAW. The only thing missing for that is the extra code for the arduino as well as the software for communication on the pc.
