Modified non-circulating hydroponics system - Bubbletop physics

My version of non-circulating hydroponics eliminates the use of float valve system to regulate the solution level. This system uses the physics behind the working of a bubble-top water dispenser. Detailed explanation about its working can be found in the link http://physics.stackexchange.com/questions/88669/physics-of-the-inverted-bottle-dispenser.

Desired solution level can be achieved by varying the length of the 1/2 inch plastic tube as shown in the above pics.

This system, therefore, minimizes the no. of components to be printed. The use of a float, nozzle, nut are eliminated and only a modified version of bottle stand (stl model included) and planters are to be printed.

Furthermore, this non circulating version uses PVC pipes as nutrient reservoir. As shown in pics above, a 3-way elbow is used in which two PVC pipes are connected and the third opening is for the nutrient bottle.

This setup can be accommodated in a corner of a room/balcony or outer corner of a house and hence promotes better space utilization.

I have used 3 inch PVC pipes for modelling. The bottle holder model may be scaled to suit 4 inch pipes as well.
