MOAB - Mother of all Bellows or Massive Ordnance Air Blast:
A bellows and dosing cup combo designed for the Eureka Mignon grinders.
Designed by Amahoola and me.
Demo Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtOzFiIAz3o
Features:
Functions as dosing cup AND bellows, at the same time!
Drops all the beans at the same time
Gives the possibility to run the grinder before dropping the beans
Prevents some extreme popcorning by closing the hopper
Parametric file available for editing to suit your needs
Adds convenience to your workflow!
Notes:
Everything is printable without supports.
The bellows should obviously be printed from TPU, or something else that's flexible. The one in the video and pictures is printed with 91A TPU.
There is a ring connecting the bellows to the insert, so the insert doesn't fall out. Connecting them can be a bit finicky, there is a version without the ring.
The text might difficult to print for some or you might not want it, a version without it is available.
Brief explanation of the different versions:
Bellows_v1.stl - Standard Bellows model
Insert_v1.stl - Standard Insert model
Adaptor_Bellows-to-mignon.stl - Adaptor/hopper so the bellows can be used on the mignon.
Bellows_v1_membrane.stl - Experimental "membrane", explained below.
Bellows_v1_no-connector.stl - Bellows without the connecting ring to connect to the slot in on the insert.
Insert_v1_no-connector.stl - Insert without the connecting slot to connect to the ring on the bellows.
Insert_v1_notxt.stl - insert without engraved text
Insert_v1_no-txt_no-connector.stl - Insert without engraved text and no connecting slot
*Bellows v11.f3d - Parametric Fusion 360 design. Go to modify > Change parameters to edit. Everything has been given a description.
Experimental Membrane:
This adds a single layer on top of the flaps that will seal the bottom entirely. After printing the flaps should be cut to free them. The idea is that now there is an extra protective smooth layer that should prevent any bean from falling through the small gap in the middle because it's now covered up now by the cut membrane.
This feature was just an idea I had and has gone entirely untested and isn't necessary, but I decided to include it anyways.
