When I first bought a MKS Sbase, I looked here on Thingiverse to see if there were any good, solid mounts for 20x20mm aluminum extrusion. None of existing mounts satisfied my requirements, so it was time to design my own! The result is what you see here. This mount is intended to fit into the corner where two of the extrusions meet - see the picture of the base of my DIY Ultimaker2 for an example.
This mount uses M3 hex nuts inserted from the bottom to thread the M3 screws (M3x12 or M3x14... I can't remember exactly...) into, eliminating the possibility of stripping out plastic threads. The 6mm plate thickness ensures that the mount is very stiff, essentially eliminating any deflection.
Print one out and let me know what you think!
